MOVING was an EU Horizon 2020 project that aimed to build capacities and co-develop relevant policy frameworks across Europe to support the establishment of new or upgraded/upscaled value chains that contribute to the resilience and sustainability of mountain areas. The project engaged value chain actors, stakeholders, and policymakers in a total of 23 European mountain regions in 15 countries. This Practice Abstract focuses on beef production and extensive cattle breeding as a method of land use in the Šumava mountains from the Czech Republic and how these methods can be integrated within the locality among different actors (farmers, tourists and the Šumava National Park).
